SeaPort-e Intro | Team Members | Experience | Quality Assurance | Awarded Task Orders
In 2002, the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) promulgated Seapower 21. It provides a framework to align, organize and integrate the U.S. Navy to meet the wide variety of challenges that lie ahead. The CNO called upon the entire Navy, including Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and the Warfare Centers (WCs), to find ways to become more efficient and effective. To meet Seapower 21 objectives and to increase efficiency, the Naval Surface Warfare Centers (NSWCs) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Centers (NUWCs) have aligned to provide seamless integrated support for twelve core Product Area Directorates. The day-to-day project management, planning, staffing and project execution will be provided by the geographically diverse NSWC and NUWC Divisions.
One manifestation of Seapower 21 was the Multiple Award SEAPORT-ENHANCED (SEAPORT-e) Contract which was awarded in April 2004 for support services for all phases of naval ship and shipboard weapon systems. Contract period of performance is a five-year base period and two five-year option periods. Currently, SEAPORT-e services span twenty-two scope areas, including engineering, financial management, and program management. This contract is open to the Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, and the United States Marine Corps.
L-3 STRATIS and its partners are proud to be part of the SEAPORT-e Team. L-3 employees are located in all seven of the NAVSEA zones for Seaport Enhanced (SEAPORT-e). This workforce represents a significant and stable national resource available to the Navy Systems Commands today and over the span of the SEAPORT-e Contract.
