Reston, Va., September 24, 2009 – L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced that its Strategic Technologies and Intelligent Solutions (STRATIS) division was awarded a firm fixed price contract by the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) to provide network management services. The contract includes a five-year base period valued at $42.9 million, plus two option years valued at $8.35M million each. Under the contract, STRATIS will provide all the information technology services associated with MDOT’s networks – essential for maintaining MDOT’s networks statewide. “STRATIS is pleased to be able support MDOT’s network infrastructure needs,” said Les Rose, President of L-3 STRATIS. “We have been a trusted federal government partner for decades.
